Done in a Day/Request Support

The Junior League of Denver plans and executes Done in a Day (DIAD) projects, organized by the League’s DIAD Committee, throughout the year. The committee reviews and plans short-term projects in partnership with fellow nonprofit organizations throughout the Denver metro area. DIADs are part of the League’s ongoing commitment to make a difference in the community. Our trained volunteers sign up to help for the shifts (typically two or three hours).
Guidelines for Done in a Day Projects:
-
- Projects must further the League’s community focus to disrupt the cycle of systemic poverty for women and families in Denver.
- Projects cannot involve any type of fundraising (selling tickets, obtaining silent auction items, etc.).
- Projects can, however, include activities related to a special event (registration, set up, coat check, etc.).
- Projects are typically 2–3 hours in length and take place on weekdays evenings or on weekends.
- Volunteer activities must be nonreligious in nature and cannot include prayer, faith-based discussions, or other religious elements.
Examples of who we work with:
- Florence Crittenton Services
- Dress for Success Denver
- WeeCycle
- Denver Health Hello Little One
- Denver Health Newborns in Need
- Ronald McDonald House
- Food Bank of the Rockies
- The Delores Project
- …and many more!
